The AP French Language and Culture Exam will test your French skills and ability to apply communication and language skills developed during French courses.
Advanced Placement French Language and Culture is a class that lets US high school students earn credit for a college-level French class. It ends with the AP French Exam.
The AP French test takes 3 hours.
DELF stands for Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française.
This program is designed for people who wish to take the DELF test to certify their level of French. Students taking the DELF test have a beginner or intermediate level.
The DELF consists of 4 independent diplomas (DELF A1, DELF A2, DELF B1 and DELF B2) valid for life and issued by the French Ministry of Education. The DELF diploma certifies the language skills of non-native speakers of French.
People taking the DALF already have an advanced level of French.
The DALF, or Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française, is a diploma issued by the French Ministry of Education to certify the French language skills of foreign candidates. It is a professional language test that tests an advanced level of French: C1 and C2.
The DALF C1 test lasts 4 hours in total: an oral comprehension part of 40 minutes, a written comprehension part of 50 minutes, a written expression part of 2h30 and an oral expression part of 30 minutes (with 1 hour of preparation).
The DALF C2 has a different duration since it combines in the same test oral comprehension and expression (1 hour of preparation and 30 minutes of examination), then in another test written comprehension and expression (3h30).
The BRIGHT test is a professional language test available entirely online to test your level in 11 languages. It allows you to evaluate your level of French by checking grammar, vocabulary, syntactic structures and oral comprehension.
The Professional BRIGHT test consists of an online quiz composed of two parts (written and oral) of 60 questions each. It lasts 45 to 60 minutes in total.
This course is intended for people who wish to obtain French nationality, and must therefore demonstrate their level of oral proficiency in French with the TCF ANF. The TCF for access to French nationality (TCF ANF) was specifically designed to respond to the new provisions introduced by the French Ministry setting the B1 level for each of the two tests. It is an oral comprehension test and an oral expression test.
